Terms of Service

Welcome to Dunbar. By using the Dunbar mobile application ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Dunbar is a personal relationship management app that helps you stay connected with friends. The App provides tools for organizing contacts, planning hangouts, and receiving friendly reminders about your relationships.

3. Account Responsibility

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
• Upload malicious code or content
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the App (friend names, notes, hangout details). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process this content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

6. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep the App available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases, and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dunbar and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dunbar and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
